Javier Márquez
Authentic sound of ancestral instruments…
Javier Márquez is a musician born in Córdoba. He has been influenced by different styles such as classical music, new age, folk, world music and certain types of fusion. He composes, arranges and produces his own tracks of music and participates in the recordings of other musicians.
GRAMMY® voting member at National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and Latin Academy of Recording (LARAS).
In 2024 he is part of guitarist Vicente Amigo‘s group as a musician in the live gigs of the album «Andenes del Tiempo».
At the end of 2024, he has recorded ethnic winds for director Alejandro Amenábar‘s latest film that will be released in 2025.
He has recorded for Season 5 of «Money Heist» / “La Casa de Papel” (Netflix serie film soundtrack), for «Zorro” (Prime Video) by Iván M. Lacámara, for OST “Ocho Apellidos Marroquís» by Vanessa Garde; for the soundtracks of the composer Pablo Cervantes for the film «Jaulas», «El Prenauta» short film and “Promesas de arena” OST serie for spanish national TV and Amazon Prime Video.
He has participated as featuring artist in the recording of track «Sirdes Mouté u Tapour» from the album «Ara» of the prestigious violinist Ara Malikian.
He has played several gigs on Eliseo Parra last tour 2023 y he has recorded duduk in his “Diacrónico” album.
WINNER Hollywood Music in Media Awards in New Age/Ambient category in 2021 with his album «The Shelter Point».
WINNER double Silver Medal Global Music Awards 2022 «The Shelter Point» Best New Age Album category.
NOMINATED for the World Entertainment Awards 2024 in the category of «Best New Age Album» for his album «Momentum».
